Wardrobe, Hall Robe, Hallway Storage Cupboard in Cream with Beautiful Wood Grain Front and Nouveau Floral Wallpapered Interior

A beautiful vintage single wardrobe painted in a cream mineral paint with stripped veneer front and wallpapered interior.

This lovely single robe has been stripped of its original finish and the main body painted in a custom mixed cream mineral paint which has then been sealed with a matt wax finish varnish for extra durability. The doors and side panels have been given a white wash to enhance the stunning grain and then varnished with matt wax finish varnish to protect and add a subtle seen.

The interior is painted in a dark grey, with a pretty Graham and Brown Nouveau Floral paper lining the door and the back panel to add a pop of interest when the door is opened, both the paint and wallpaper are sealed with varnish for added protection. The original handle, escutcheon and working key have been enhanced with gold and a gold tassel added to complete the look.

Internally, there is a wooden hanging rail with a shelf above to provide plenty of coat, hat and other storage, with space for shoes etc on the base. This piece would make a striking hallway coat cupboard or would work equally well as a bedroom single wardrobe.

Nationwide delivery is available.

I arrange delivery with one of my trusted furniture couriers, this will usually be a one man service and help will be required to unload the item at the buyer's home. If a two man service is required please let me know before checkout as there may be an extra charge.

I charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK, excluding the Highlands of Scotland, Islands and Ireland. Please contact me prior to purchase if you are in any of these areas for an accurate quote.

Collection is also welcome from my home workshop in Essex.

For commissions and custom orders, delivery will be arranged once work is completed.

All my work is refinished with great care and attention to detail using the best quality furniture paints which are as environmentally friendly as possible. My pieces are all antique, vintage and always pre-loved and therefore may show minor signs of their past life with the occasional dent or ding. Major imperfections are always repaired, but I believe small marks show the piece's history and add to its charm. Any signs of historic woodworm are treated as a matter of course.
