A beautiful oak pedestal desk painted in an earthy brown with distressed stencilling.

This solid oak double pedestal desk has been stripped of its original finish and painted in a gorgeous earthy brown mineral paint which has then been top coated with a matt varnish for added protection. The desk top and the drawers have been treated with paint washes in complementary tones to the paint and the drawers have had a subtle stencil added in a dark varnish to add elegance, which has then been lightly distressed and clear varnished. New bronze cup handles have been added to all the drawers. The top of the desk has an inset panel painted in the same colour as the carcass to create a leather desk top effect.

Each pedestal has two smaller over one large drawer, which all have dovetail joints and solid bases and provide plenty of storage. All the drawers have been cleaned and treated with a wood nourishing salve.

DELIVERY

Nationwide delivery is available.

I arrange delivery with one of my trusted furniture couriers, this will usually be a one man service and help will be required to unload the item at the buyer's home. If a two man service is required please let me know before checkout as there may be an extra charge.

I charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK, excluding the Highlands of Scotland, Islands and Ireland. Please contact me prior to purchase if you are in any of these areas for an accurate quote.

Collection is also welcome from my home workshop in Essex.

For commissions and custom orders, delivery will be arranged once work is completed.

All my work is refinished with great care and attention to detail using the best quality furniture paints which are as environmentally friendly as possible. My pieces are all antique, vintage and always pre-loved and therefore may show minor signs of their past life with the occasional dent or ding. Major imperfections are always repaired, but I believe small marks show the piece's history and add to its charm. Any signs of historic woodworm are treated as a matter of course.
